Mold Assessment and Testing in Hallandale Beach
A homeowner contacted Home Restoration Masters about suspected mold on the ceiling. Our inspection found visible mold on the ceiling and additional growth behind the baseboard in the water-heater closet after the baseboard was removed.
The project included moisture inspection, cavity air sampling, and a closet surface swab. Eurofins laboratory analysis identified mold in the submitted cavity and closet surface samples, including Stachybotrys and Penicillium/Aspergillus-type spores. These findings relate to the sampled locations.
The photos document the ceiling condition, moisture inspection, sampling setup, and affected area behind the baseboard.
Our Mold Remediation Process
Every property is different. The work plan depends on the affected materials, moisture conditions, and the extent of the damage.
1. Review the affected areas
We discuss the water or moisture problem, review accessible affected areas, and explain the proposed scope. When an independent mold assessment or testing is needed, we discuss that step before proceeding.
2. Plan containment and removal
Depending on the scope, work may include containment, air filtration, removal of affected porous materials, and cleaning of surfaces that can be restored.
3. Address moisture and drying
Remediation should be paired with correction of the leak, humidity, or condensation problem. Drying and moisture monitoring may be part of the project.
4. Review completion and next steps
We explain the completed work and any remaining repairs. Independent post-remediation verification can be arranged when required by the project.
Areas We Commonly Work On
Projects may involve drywall, cabinets, closets, and materials affected by roof leaks, plumbing leaks, or AC drainage problems. HVAC cleaning is evaluated separately based on the equipment and conditions.
